What up, y’all? Ya girl is feeling some type of way today. You ever have a housemate that’s just straight up garbage? Like, not taking the trash out, leaving dishes in the sink for days, and just being an all-around slob? That’s some bullshit, am I right?

Now, I’m not saying that this is my actual living situation, but damn. Look at this shit. Empty food containers, piles of clothes, and just overall filth. I can’t deal with that kind of mess. And to make matters worse, the person that lives in this room probably thinks that this is perfectly okay. No ma’am, not in my house.

Another one

This one is a little bit better, but still not up to par. The couch has shit all over it, there’s a dirty shirt on the floor, and even the blinds look dusty. Like, damn. Do people not know how to clean up after themselves?

I don’t know about y’all, but I was raised to clean up after myself. My mama would have never let me get away with leaving a mess like this. I can’t even imagine living in a space like that. It would drive me crazy.

Clean up your act

If you’re living like this, it’s time to clean up your act. You’re not a child anymore, so start acting like an adult. Put your trash in the bin, wash your dishes, and for the love of god, pick up your damn clothes. It’s not that hard.

And if you’re living with someone who’s a slob, it’s time to have a conversation. Don’t be passive-aggressive about it, but let them know that their mess is impacting your living situation. Trust me, it’s better to address it now before it becomes an even bigger issue.

So, let’s all make a vow to keep our living spaces clean and tidy. Your future self (and your housemates) will thank you for it.
