How To Make Floating Witch Hats

October is finally here! That means it’s time to start getting ready for Halloween. One fun DIY project that caught my eye recently are these amazing floating witch hats. They’re a great way to add a spooky touch to your home decor and the best part is that they’re simple to create.

Materials Needed:

• Witch hats (any size, any color)
• Invisible thread
• Fishing line
• 3M hooks

Once you have all the materials gathered, the first step is to take the invisible thread and sew it through the tip of the witch hat. This can be a bit tricky, but be patient. Once you have the thread through the hat tip, tie the two ends together so it creates a loop. The loop should be big enough to fit around a 3M hook.

Time to Hang:

Now that your witch hat has a loop on it, you’re ready to hang it up. Take the 3M hook and stick it to the ceiling wherever you want the hat to float. Once the hook is in place, take the fishing line and tie it around the hook. Then take the loop you created earlier and hang it from the fishing line.

Adding Some Spooky:

At this point, you can stop and just have a single witch hat hanging from your ceiling. Or you can continue to add more hats for a spookier effect. Simply repeat the steps above until you have all the hats you want floating. You can arrange them in any pattern you like.

Adding Some Light:

If you want to add some lighting to your floating witch hats, consider adding some battery operated LED lights around the brim of the hat. This will create an eerie glow that will add to the spooky factor.
