Plant lovers, have you ever tried solving a crossword puzzle all about your favourite flora? Well, if you haven’t yet, then you definitely should! I came across two interesting plant crossword puzzles and I couldn’t resist sharing them with you all.
The first one is a vine crossword puzzle that I found on Pinterest. The puzzle looks intimidating at first, but once you start making headway, it becomes quite addicting. The puzzle is adorned with cute illustrations of a variety of plants and is guaranteed to keep you engaged for a good while. I particularly liked the clues that had to do with scary plants or famous botanists. It was both fun and educational.
One of the images that accompanied the crossword, depicted a mysterious looking plant with striped leaves and tiny green flowers. The image was captioned with the word ‘Calathea’. I had never heard of Calathea before, so I decided to look it up. Turns out, Calatheas are a genus of tropical plants that are also known as prayer plants. They get this name because their leaves fold up in the evening, as if they were praying. How cool is that?
The second crossword puzzle that I found was called ‘Plants Crossword Puzzle by Science’ and was shared on Google. This crossword puzzle is a little more advanced and requires some serious plant knowledge. Nevertheless, it is equally fun and challenging. The puzzle is all about identifying the different parts of a plant, including the leaves, flowers, stems, and roots. Some of the clues even test your knowledge on photosynthesis, which I found quite fascinating.
One of the images that caught my eye in this puzzle, depicted a plant with long, slender leaves that shot out in all directions. The image was captioned with the words ‘Spider Plant’. I had heard of Spider Plants before, but I didn’t know much about them. So, I did some research, and it turns out that these plants are great for indoors. They are easy to grow, don’t require a lot of sunlight or watering, and purify the air, removing toxins like formaldehyde and xylene. I couldn’t believe that such a beautiful plant could also be so beneficial.
In conclusion, plant lovers, put your knowledge to the test and give these two crossword puzzles a try. They are both fun, challenging, and informative. Who knows, you might even learn something new about your favourite plants along the way.
