Ceiling Wallpaper Texture

Yo fam, check out these dope ceiling textures I found. I know you’re thinking, ceilings, really? But trust me, a funky ceiling can totally transform a room. So grab a snack and let’s get into it.

Technique #1: Stomp it Out

This first technique involves stomping a pattern into wet drywall compound. Sounds crazy, right? But it’s actually super easy and gives a really cool effect. All you need is a stomping brush (you can find them at any hardware store) and some patience. Just mix up some drywall mud, roll it onto the ceiling, and start stomping away. Don’t worry about messing up, imperfections just add to the charm.

Technique #2: Popcorn Popper

You’ve probably seen this one before, but don’t knock it till you try it. The popcorn texture gets its name from its bumpy, popcorn-like appearance. It’s achieved by spraying on a mix of drywall compound and water using a special texture gun. It might take a bit of practice to get the right consistency, but once you do, it’s a breeze to apply. Just be warned, once you popcorn, you can’t unpopcorn – so make sure it’s what you want before you start.

Technique #3: Knock It Off

Knockdown texture is a great choice if you want something a bit more understated. It’s created by spraying on a thin layer of drywall compound and then using a trowel to lightly knock it down, leaving a subtle, textured effect. I love this technique because it goes with pretty much any decor style and won’t overpower the room.

Technique #4: Swirl Around

Last but not least, we have the swirl texture. This one is created by rolling on drywall compound and then swirling it around to create a pattern. You can use a special swirl brush or just a regular paint roller, whichever you prefer. The result is a gorgeous, whimsical texture that’s sure to be a conversation starter.
