First things first

The first thing you need to do is assess the situation. Look at the couch and see if it’s just the fabric that’s outdated and worn, or if the whole frame is shot. If it’s just the fabric, then you’re in luck.

Choose a New Fabric

Nobody wants to sit on a couch that looks like it belongs in the seventies, am I right? So, choose a new fabric that will give the couch a new lease on life. You can find fabric at your local craft store or even online. Remember to choose something that will match your décor and style.

Let’s Get to Work

Now it’s time to get down to business. Remove the old fabric and padding from the couch. If the padding is shot, then replace it, but if it’s still good, then leave it. Cut the new fabric to size and attach it to the couch using a staple gun. Be sure to pull the fabric taut when attaching it to the frame.
