Yo, have y’all seen these anti-flower posters making rounds on the internet? I mean, I never thought I’d see the day when folks are dissing something as innocent as flowers. What’s the beef with our pretty lil’ blooms? Apparently these posters claim to be for the betterment of society. But seriously, who are we kidding? All these posters look like are attempts to be edgy and make some sort of off-the-wall statement.

No Roses for Me, Please

Take a look at this no roses for me, please poster that I came across. Like seriously – what’s wrong with roses? They’re just beautiful flowers that can bring a smile to anyone’s face. The color, the fragrance, everything about them is just so calming and peaceful. But here we have someone trying to ruin it for the rest of us. Why can’t we just let people enjoy things in peace?

And then we have this Anti-Flower poster. I mean, come on now. What’s the point in being against something as beautiful and peaceful as flowers? Flowers bring nothing but positivity to the environment. They clean the air around us and add a touch of vibrancy and life to any space. So why try to spread negativity and hate against them? We gotta learn to appreciate the little things in life, folks.

All in all, let’s not be fooled by these so-called “for the betterment of society” anti-flower posters. They’re just lame attempts to be edgy and obscure. As black people, we know better than to fall for these types of mind games. Let’s continue to enjoy the beauty of flowers and all the small things in life that bring joy and positivity to our lives.
