The Home Depot Hollywood

As I was scrolling through my feed, I came across some pictures of the Hollywood Home Depot that had me feeling some type of way. Ya’ll, have you seen these plaques on the front of the store? I had to do a double take because I had never noticed them before.

One of the plaques said something about how this site used to be the location of the first studio in Hollywood where legendary films were made. The other plaque talked about how this specific Home Depot was used as a filming location for some iconic movies like “The Terminator” and “Fight Club”.

Now, I know I ain’t the only one who thinks this is kinda dope. I mean, we’re all out here casually picking up some paint or screws and little do we know, we’re standing where some of the biggest names in Hollywood history once stood. It’s wild to think about.

And can we talk about how massive this Home Depot is? I could spend hours in there just exploring all the different aisles and departments. It’s like a whole other world in there.

But let me tell you, the real gem of these pictures was seeing the Ace on the House duo (shoutout to Adam Carolla and Eric Stromer) doing a walkthrough of this exact Home Depot. I swear, I could listen to them talk about home improvement all day long. Plus, the pictures of them posing in front of the giant orange sign made me giggle.

Overall, I think it’s pretty cool that a place as mundane as a hardware store can have such a rich history and be a part of some of the most iconic movies of all time. And now, as I make my biweekly trip to the Hollywood Home Depot, I’ll have a new appreciation for the space I’m occupying.

Next time you’re in the area, take a second to appreciate those little plaques on the front of the store. You never know what kind of history they may be hiding.
